Odd little skiff of snow moved through overnight last night with around an inch of snow – a touch more around the airport. Another quick hit of around an inch possible tonight.

  • MSP Airport – 1.8″ (Official NWS Observation – broke the record for most snow on December 10th of 1.4″ set back in 1970. Who knew?!)
  • Richfield – 1.2″
  • Chanhassen – .6″
  • St Cloud – .5″ (Official NWS Observation)

Seasonal totals:

  • MSP Airport – 9.2″ (12/10/13)
  • December – 8.1″ (12/10/13)
  • November – 1.1″
  • 3″ to 5″ Event: 12/4/13 (less to se, more in sw/w/nw/n)
  • 1″ to 3″ Event: 11/5/13, 12/8/13

Winter Event Chronology

  • 12/10/13 5:00 AM – Majority of the metro received an inch or less of snow. With area around MSP airport getting a little more.
  • 12/10/13 12:00 AM – Light snow begins falling

  • Very light snow with variable accumulation throughout metro. Property may or may not have been plowed. (Sorry for aaaaall the of the help and precision with this one.)
