UPDATE – 2/18/14 11:00 AM (closed)

2/18/14 snowfallNot always the case, this snowfall performed almost exactly as predicted, dropping 4-6″ throughout the metro with heavier totals to the southwest and lighter to the northeast.

Properties would have received some daytime service and a full plow in the evening. Properties are really filling up with snow and another major storm (blizzard) is shaping up for Thursday, February 20th. If you need snow moved or pushed back, schedule it for tonight or tomorrow so there is room for additional snow this week.

Have a great day!

Brad

2/17/14 weather storySnowstorm is performing as predicted. NWS Twin Cities is back snow down just a tick to 3-5″ total.

Seems like a lot of people stayed home because of the weather and President’s Day – roads are not as awful as the last major storm. Good job, all!!!

ORIGINAL POST – 2/16/14 2:00 PM

2:17:14 snow forecastWhile it is a beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon, we are in a Winter Storm Warning for tomorrow until noon Monday.

If the forecast holds, the bulk of the snow will begin falling at 1″ to 2″ per hour just before morning commutes with 3-5″ by 9 am and 4-7″ possible by afternoon. This means that traffic will be HORRENDOUS  and hardly any properties, roads or highways will be plowed due to the timing. Folks should stay home if possible, it isn’t going to be pretty.

The snow is expected to be quick and done by noon, so open ups will be possible and full plows Monday overnight.

Good luck!!

Brad
