4/16/14 snow totalsUPDATE 4/17/14

Snow crept a bit further south than anticipated yesterday dropping incredible amounts of snow just north of the metro. 20″ fell in Chisago County.

  • The snow amounts varied dramatically across the metro with only .3 at the MSP Airport, 8″ in Plymouth and 13″ in Andover.
  • With warm temperatures, there should have been very little – if any – salt use on any property.
  • The south metro probably didn’t require plowing.

FileJust when we thought we were out…

Ok, so I was being super-optimistic and hoping we weren’t going to have more snow events. The metro will see some accumulation from this system with heavier totals to the north.

  • A massive storm will dump a foot of heavy snow from just north of the metro through Duluth.
  • We are just warm enough that most will melt or fall as rain in the metro.
  • 1″ to 4″ of snow in metro
  • No service should be necessary on your properties since temps will be in the 40s for the remainder of the week.
